Board view gives you a visual, drag-and-drop way to manage work in progress. It is especially powerful for teams tracking tasks through stages.
Switching to board view
- Open any project
- Click the Board icon in the view switcher at the top right of the project screen
- Your tasks will appear as cards grouped into columns
Understanding the default columns
By default Cloviq creates four columns: To Do, In Progress, In Review, and Done. Each column represents a stage of your workflow.
Customising your columns
- Click Add column at the right edge of the board to add a new stage
- Double-click any column header to rename it
- Drag column headers to reorder them
- Click the column menu to set a WIP limit
Moving tasks between columns
Drag any task card to a different column to update its status. The status change syncs instantly across all views.
Tips
- WIP limits help prevent bottlenecks — if In Review starts piling up it is a signal to prioritise reviewing over starting new work.
- You can add a colour to each column from the column settings.
