Archiving and deleting content

Keeping Cloviq tidy helps you stay focused. Here is the difference between archiving and deleting — and when to use each.

Archiving

Archiving removes an item from your active view but keeps it safely stored. Archived items can be restored at any time.

  1. Right-click any workspace, project, or note
  2. Select Archive from the menu
  3. The item disappears from your sidebar
  4. To find archived items go to Settings > Archive

Deleting

Deleting is permanent — once confirmed, content cannot be recovered. Deleted items go to your Trash first, where they are held for 30 days before permanent removal.

  1. Right-click any item
  2. Select Delete
  3. Confirm the deletion in the prompt
  4. To recover go to Settings > Trash within 30 days

Our recommendation

When in doubt, archive. Disk space is not a concern on Bloom and above, and archived content is fully searchable. Delete only when you are completely certain.

Tips

  • Trash is automatically emptied after 30 days.
  • Canopy admins can configure team-wide trash retention policies.
