Keeping Cloviq tidy helps you stay focused. Here is the difference between archiving and deleting — and when to use each.
Archiving
Archiving removes an item from your active view but keeps it safely stored. Archived items can be restored at any time.
- Right-click any workspace, project, or note
- Select Archive from the menu
- The item disappears from your sidebar
- To find archived items go to Settings > Archive
Deleting
Deleting is permanent — once confirmed, content cannot be recovered. Deleted items go to your Trash first, where they are held for 30 days before permanent removal.
- Right-click any item
- Select Delete
- Confirm the deletion in the prompt
- To recover go to Settings > Trash within 30 days
Our recommendation
When in doubt, archive. Disk space is not a concern on Bloom and above, and archived content is fully searchable. Delete only when you are completely certain.
Tips
- Trash is automatically emptied after 30 days.
- Canopy admins can configure team-wide trash retention policies.
