In the “KSB Guard Fault Report” or in the Guard Portal, the status can be red, yellow, or gray.
If sensors with faulty data transmission are listed in the “KSB Guard Fault Report” email or directly in the KSB Guard Portal with the status “red” and the message “no current measurement data” is displayed, check the following:
Narrowing down the error:
- The message “no current measurement data” appears for several sensors
➔ Please first check the gateway(s) - The message “no current measurement data” appears only for one or a few sensors?
➔ Please proceed in the following order:
Description of a standard installation
1. Check the sensor and cable connection to the transmitter and battery unit
- Check the plug connection in the transmitter and battery unit
- Check the cable connection from the sensor to the transmitter and battery unit
- Check the result with a manual measurement event by briefly pressing the button on the transmitter and battery unit twice.
- Triggering the manual measurement event initiates and transmits a measurement at the current time (visible within a few minutes in the KSB Guard portal/app)
- Prerequisite: at least signal strength 2, preferably 3-4 illuminated level LEDs on the transmitter and battery unit
2. Check transmitter and battery unit
Performing a reset
- Perform a reset with the sensor unit connected by pressing the button for at least 10 seconds.
- The device restarts (approx. 10 seconds) and then displays the current reception for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes or by briefly pressing the button, a measurement is performed automatically.
- The device goes into productive operation.
Display of the LEVEL LEDs:
- If none of the LEDs on the transmitter and battery unit show any reaction, the batteries should be checked and replaced if necessary.
- No level LED display available: ➔ contact technical support
- One or two of the red level LEDs on the transmitter and battery unit are lit
➔ Signal too weak ➔ Quality check / connection issue ➔ See article on improving reception - Three or four of the red level LEDs on the transmitter and battery unit are lit
➔ The connection is OK
Measurement data is visible in the portal after four minutes at the latest.
a) Transmission and battery unit without pressure balancing element, b) Transmission and battery unit with pressure balancing element.
Description / function of control elements and LED indicators
3. Check gateway
If an active gateway is in use, please check as follows. If several gateways are integrated into the system, please contact technical support for assistance.
- The power LED must be green
- Power LED is not lit
➔ Check power supply - Power LED is red or flashing red
➔ There is a malfunction
➔ Disconnect the gateway from the power supply for 30 seconds - The status LED S1 must be permanently green
- Status LED S1 light is off
➔ Device is waiting for mobile connection - Status LED S1 flashes yellow (3 minutes after switching on)
➔ Problems with the Internet connection
➔ Check mobile connection
➔ see next step - Status LED S1 flashes green
➔ New firmware is being loaded
➔ Please wait, this may take a few minutes - Status LED S1 is green
➔ Cellular network and Internet are accessible - The gateway's cellular connection must be sufficient - LTE reception (level LEDs for cellular signal strength)
- 0 to 2 bars
➔ Reception usually too poor
➔ see article on improving reception - 3 to 4 bars
➔ Sufficient to good reception quality (data can be sent)
➔ Check the sensors and the transmitter and battery unit - If all of the above test steps were applicable without adjustment
➔ Disconnect the gateway from the power supply for 30 seconds and wait 5 minutes until all test steps are correct again. - Check whether the measurement data is transmitted again after the next automatic measurement or after a manual measurement event (visible after approx. 2-4 minutes).
- No success despite performing all test steps:
